Attaching Photos to Line Items

Premium Service Orders allow you to attach photos directly to each line item within a work order.

This is useful for documenting damage, showing part condition, tracking repairs, and building customer trust.


Important Notes

  • Photos upload in a square (“cropped”) thumbnail format for consistent display.
  • Clicking a thumbnail opens the full, uncropped image.
  • Each image can have its own description or caption.
  • You can upload multiple photos per line item.

Step 1: Open the Work Order

Go to Work Orders in the left menu.
Select the work order you want to update.


Step 2: Expand a Line Item

Scroll to the line item you want to document.
Click the arrow or expand icon to open the line item details panel.


Step 3: Upload a Photo

In the expanded line item panel, locate the Images section.
Click Upload or Choose File.
Select an image from your device.
Repeat the process to upload additional photos.


Step 4: Add or Edit Image Descriptions

Each uploaded image has an Edit button.
Click Edit to:

  • Add an image description
  • Update existing text
  • Save changes

Descriptions help explain what the customer is looking at.


Step 5: View Images in Full Size

Click any thumbnail to open the full-resolution image.
Use this view to examine details or show customers the exact condition of their vehicle.


Additional Notes

  • Use photos to document before-and-after repairs, safety issues, or warranty-related work.
  • Photos appear in the enhanced online view and support transparent communication with customers.
  • Adding photos per line item creates clear documentation if disputes arise later.
